Managing to look surprised by her accusation, Tristen placed a hand on his heart. “Teasing you?” he asked, playfully indignant. “I’d never do such a thing. Can’t a guy just kiss his girlfriend when he got the urge,” he murmured, pretending to be hurt. Oooh...taboo. He'd said the word girlfriend. A grin split his lips just after however, and he leaned across to her once again. “Teasing,” he began, grazing the tips of their noses. “Would,” he continued, lips a centimeter from hers, not touching just yet. “Be.” Lips barely touching, he gently tugged at her lower lip with his teeth. About to kiss her, he turned his head at the last moment, instead making contact with her cheek. “Just that,” he grinned devilishly, once again leaning his chair backward, quite amused. So he was playful, sue him.
“Ahh, so it has a greater price tag than the original. One of sentimentality,” he nodded, impressed by her reply. He’d expected something more along the lines of ‘it’s gorgeous; it’s Fendi, aint the answer obvious?’ That was how 'empty' and materialistic most girls were. Her statement echoed within his head, and he blinked at her, lightly scratching at his eyebrow. “I already met her remember?” he smirked. “Briefly though, on the way to Milan. Never did get the chance to talk to her though, so whenever you think we should meet, I’m game,” he agreed with a little nod. It was up to her though, for if she changed her mind, he wouldn’t mind. He was much more interested in Cassie anyway. “Lonely? In the O.C.?” he asked with a lifted brow. “She probably hasn’t been going to the right places then. Its easy enough to meet a friend…or an interesting guy,” he shrugged. Or maybe it was just easier for some girls. Anyway. Enough about the cousin. Why were they discussing her so much anyway? Oh right, he’d asked.
“Mmhm. Yeah sure.” Standing, he dumped his cup into a nearby trash can, and then waited for her to stand up. She didn’t need to worry about her mug since someone would be at the table soon enough to remove it. “You didn’t come in your own vehicle right?” It would be easier on the both of them if she’d walked or had someone drop her off or something. That and he wanted the opportunity to be able to take her home when she was ready to leave his place.

Was this guy actually trying to melt her in public?
Cassie pouted, though the ends of her lips were still curled in a smile. She'd childishly stuck her tongue out, much like she had the night they first met. It was fascinating to Cassie to recollect on that night. She half expected Tristen to something along those lines, but it still bothered her that he'd managed to trick her once again.
"You're hilaaaaarious,"
She said mordantly, secretly glad that he at least had a sense of humor. She'd met guys with personalites less intriguing than drying paint. Lucky for Cassie, Tristen's humor -- as well as his overall personality -- stood out in a good way. It was refreshing for her to be with someone who was confident enough to be funny.
With a slow nod showing him he was right about the bag's sentimental value, Cassie slid her hands into the pockets of her jeans.
"It certainly worked for me,"
She said softly, flicking her gaze up to him when referring to the possibility of meeting someone in the O.C. She did find it rather funny that he'd been the first person she'd met in Orange County. She supposed it wasn't as hard as people like Layne made it seem, but enough about her.
Once he'd stood she did so as well.
"Nah, I walked,"
She stated,
"I figured it was too nice to drive."
Looking up into his eyes, she smiled. Now that the sun had dully set the shop had pretty much emptied, and Cassie assumed it was a good thing they were leaving, for the cafe would most likely be closing soon.
Inhaling deeply, she made her way to the door with him; this time with her bag in hand.
"Any particular movie you wanna see?"
She asked, not having any one movie in mind. Classics like "Halloween" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street" were always good, but it really didn't matter. As long as she'd be spending time with her boyfriend she was happy.

Lifting a brow, Tristen grinned and shrugged. “I try,” he stated, even though he knew she was being sarcastic. “And what have I told you about sticking out that tongue of yours?” he questioned, thinking her lucky for having retracted it back into her mouth. Or else he’d have probably had to show her. But…he wasn’t half-done teasing her, so probably not. "Hm. Worked for you because you're not only gorgeous, but your personality stands out. Great combination actually," he informed honestly, slightly moistening his lips. "A guy couldn't ask for much better."
Nodding slowly, he looped an arm around her waist, and strolled towards the door with her. Opening it, he allowed her to exit first. “I guess it is too nice to drive, but since I just got off work, I needed it to reach here on time,” he said quietly, pointing to his truck and then leading her towards it. “And no. We can just rent a couple. Don’t really matter to me. Being an oldie, it’s bound to be good…in the amusing sort of way,” he stated, chuckling softly. He didn’t see how people from those decades found those movies scary, but he figured he was spoiled by today’s special effects.
Releasing her once near the vehicle, he unlocked it, opening the passenger side door for her before going around to the other side. He climbed in, sticking the key into the ignition once he had. “Hmm. It’s starting to get cold,” he commented. But rightfully so, with the sun having fully descended to be replaced by a low crescent moon. It was a beautiful night, made even more so by the young lady he was spending most of his time with. Closing his door, he strapped in, waiting for her to do the same. Safety first. Well, he rarely put on a seatbelt, but still.

Cassie smiled, setting her hand atop his, which now clasped her side.
"I seem to have forgotten,"
She teased. In truth, she'd never kept her tongue out long enough for him to get pay back, so it hadn't been a problem. As he complimented her, she went from glancing away to up into his eyes.
"Yeah,"
She began, shurgging it off as if it were nothing but still hinting at the sarcasm that lingered there.
"Which makes you one lucky guy,"
She grinned. Not typical Cassie, to be honest. Well, the grinning; yes, but she usually wasn't so bent on gaining laughs from the boy. Something about having the chance to show off her personality further was always a plus, though. As he opened the door she followed through, quickly adjusting to the night air, as well as the lack of light. She shivered slightly, finding it odd that it'd gotten so cold so quickly. Ahh well, maybe a storm was coming...
"Mhmm. How far away is the training facility?"
Cassie inquired, leaning into him slightly. No, it wasn't freezing by any means, but definitely chilly for California weather. But as he let go of her, her mind left the temperature and focused on his next statement.
"So you like tacky horror flicks too?"
Hm. Another similarity. Funny, really. It was interesting for Cassie to see how much they had in common, and she figured the number would only grow as they got to know each other even more. She hopped up and into the seat, noting his gentlemanly gesture of opening the door. Reaching along her shoulder to grab the seatbelt, she fastened it securely.
"You ready?"

{{ooc:||I fucking suck don't I? Sorry >.>
{{ic:||Lightly rolling his eyes, Tristen sighed a bit dramatically. "Nuh-uh. You remembered, and only do it so as to taunt me," he stated with feigned moroseness. "Someday you're going to be taught your lesson though," he said, smiling softly and used his index finger to lightly tap the tip of her cute little nose. Staring down at her, lips curved into a smirk and sea-foam green eyes twinkling with deep amusement, he merely shook his head. "Vain little thing aren't you?" he asked teasingly, though completely loved her easy-going, playful nature. He knew he was quickly becoming attached, but he couldn't help it. The little minx was pulling him in, working some sort of invisible magic that had him completely spell-bound.
"Um, the training facility is...five blocks north from the beach," he replied, glancing her way as he spoke. "Why? Intend to come visit me at work or something?" he asked, one brow raised. Not that he'd mind or anything. Her presence would only make his day brighter, after all. "Or are you looking for a job?" There were many possibilities as to why she had asked, including her simply just being curious as to where the place was.
Pulling away from the parking space once she was safely buckled in, Tristen relaxed, cruising along in traffic. Thankfully it wasn't rush hour, so he wouldn't get frustrated by being stuck in a long line. "Actually, I do like the tacky horror movies," he confirmed, chuckling softly. "In my eyes, it's comedy," he stated, smirking a bit. "Don'tcha think?" It really depended on just which one it was though. Some of them were just too damn stupid to be hilarious.
After a few minutes of driving along in comfortable silence, he broke it by commenting, "Ya know, I've never been to your place." It was random, yes, but he actually wanted to see where she lived. They said that one could tell a lot about a person by the way they kept their personal space, after all...
{{ooc:||Crap yes, I know. Weeell, I never did ask for 'em to create a home for Tristen so would it be best to just continue right here? When they reach his crib, that is.

ooc|| Nonono. You don't suck in the least bit. =P You'd be amazed at how patient I am when it comes to a good roleplay. ^^ And I don't mind, we can continue here. It's fine with mee.
ic|| "Really now? Is that so?" she teased, squeezing his hand playfully. Such fun. Seriously, it was like this guy was holding a handbook of how to make a girl amazingly happy. Which made her wonder... was he for real? Or was this some charade to get him what he wanted? ...No. No. The look in his eyes when she shared her feelings could not be duplicated. Not in the least bit.
"I try,"
she vaunted, her hand forming small circles as it wisped through the air, copying a fake bow-like gesture. Though she didn't bow, of course. Shortly thereafter she escaped in a fit of laughter, finding his smirks all too cute. There was no way that she could process what had gone on today, for it was beyond words. And now she and her boyfriend were going to watch a scary movie, which probably wouldn't be scary at all. Ahh well, that is the point, right?
Cassie nodded, picturing in her mind where the facility might be. After all, she was still trying to learn street names in this maze of a city.
"Well, I thought it might be far away, which would make driving understandable,"
She replied, looking up at him with doe-like eyes.
"But it doesn't really matter."
She added, smiling. Why /did/ she care so much? It's not like she was some penny-pincher. The price of gas was irrevelant unless she was going somewhere far. And Cassie prefered walking most of the time, anyways.
"I'm not really sure what I wanna do work-oriented, right now. I'm supposed to be here looking for casting opportunities, but nothing has seem to come my way yet and I'm still getting adjusted. I think tomorrow marks my two week time period here."
She informed with a laugh, resting her head on her cupped palm, which was propped up by the armrest at the elbow. She threaded her hand through her hair as well, having now taken it out of the pony.
"I think most of them are more interesting than scary, but a few do tend to give me goosebumps. It's not to say that they were incapable of making movies scary back then, just not realistic, as they are nowadays."
Cassie hadn't thought about that before, which got her thinking about the types of movies she watched. She never really paid attention for whether they had the latest and greatest hi-def graphics or not. It was really all about story line and the ending, which mattered most to her.
"Well then, you should come by and surprise me,"
She said softly, smirking. With that she reached for her purse, sitting up fully and reaching inside. A few seconds later her hand surfaced with a pen and the ripped off corner of a piece of paper. She scribbled a few things down and folded it in half. Then, quickly leaned over to him and kissed him briefly, sliding her arm forward and placing the paper on his knee, cupping her hand around it and lingering there for a moment before removing her hand but leaving the paper.
Sure hope he's a good driver.
Cassie leaned back in her seat casually, waiting for their arrival at the movie store. They had to be getting close, even in traffic.
