Jeremy had been going through his mental checklist of girls after getting his usual coffee at Paparazzi that morning, and the gorgeous miss Lauren Jennifer Cooper and come into his mind.
Now, obviously he had heard the rumours that she and Rachel were in a bad fight... and he had heard it firsthand from his sister, the more... 'detailed' version. Jeremy, though, took into account Lauren's version, even if he hadn't heard it. He and Lauren had been really good friends, oddly enough. They were both gorgeous and elite, both clever and conniving, especially with the opposite sex. They balanced each other out, to some degree.
He didn't believe that Lauren and Rachel's friendship was over. They were the O.C. power-duo, and they couldn't just stop being friends--a lifetime of comradeship didn't end in a second, over a stupid boy comment and some thrown champagne.
So he had called Lauren and asked to meet up at the Boardwalk. He had thrown on a navy-blue vintage-wash Armani polo shirt, and light-wash True Religion semi-destroyed jeans. They fit even more perfectly than his usual Diesel, probably because of the extra fifty bucks thrown in there. Rachel had bought them for him.
He was standing in front of some wierd, gay bakery, right along the railing dividing the higher-up Boardwalk from the beach. And he waited..

Jeremy had invited Lauren to the boardwalk. Getting his call was a bit of a suprise. What did Rachel's brother want to do with me? Oddly enough, she actually wanted to go. Jeremy and her had always been good friends and some pretty good times and jokes. Hopefully he didn't take Rachel too seriously about the fight and just want to invite me here to fight. That just wasn't jeremy.
Her hair was down ( for once) and she hadn't bothered to starighten it so it fell down in curls loosely around her back. She hadn't on much make up only the usual urban dcay eyeshadow and eyeliner. Lauren had on a Lauren Moffat strapless, quilted chiffon dress. It was gray with an ivory top lined hem. Her shoes weren't that amazing just a pait of old silver ballet flats.
She stood somewhere near a craft shop leaning against the walls eyeing the boardwalk for Jeremy. Maybe he just didn't want to show up?

Jeremy leaned against the railing even more, a piece of the getting-longer hair blowing in his eye. He brushed it away, channeling all his anger into that one piece of hair. Odd, I know. Too bad that today, he didn't have much anger. He wouldn't have to speak to Adrienne, whom he had come to 'detest...' and perhaps that much was in her little plot as well. Who knew with those seemingly-physcopath Martin girls?
He looked down the Boardwalk for Lauren, and the gleam of blonde hair caught his eye. Yeah, that was her--no doubt about it. Her dress fit well, and was completely Lauren. Sophisticated and airy at the same time, with that flair... The flair that it seemed nobody could put a label on. The wind blew her hair, and Jeremy didn't fail to notice that it wasn't usually down.
He walked slowly, knowing that girls were staring. Jeremy checked them out--he wasn't shy. "Hey, Lauren." He came up behind her and gave her a friendly hug. He was so tall that his chin could rest on top of her head. "You should wear your hair down more often."

Lauren's shoulders tensed up at Jereemy's " affectionate move" at a hug. what was going on? Nice wasn't Jeremy's thing, let alone the idea that his younger sister and her were in a huge fight. She tucked a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear, that one piece just didn't want to stay, it kept blowing off in the wind. She shrugged at his comment about her hair. " I guess I never really liked my hair that much, that's why I always keep it up."
Her blue-green eyes flicked around the people hurrying around the boardwalk. They all seemed to be rushing to get somewhere. She looked back at up at him. And really emphasize the looking up. Now Jeremy was a diffferent story. He was probably a little over a head taller then her.
She started walking forward a bit, nodding for him to come with her. " So..." " Why do you want me here today?" She questioned unsurely. None of this made sense. Right now hee should be angry and probably despise me, fighting wasn't really a Jeremy thing to do but it didn't seem like he was giving any hints or clue sthat he was mad. She stared down at her feet, finding them awfully interesting at the moment.

He shrugged. Why was she reading into everything so much? It kind of confused him, because he didn't have answers for the questions she asked. Should he have? He let go of her and ran a hand through his hair, flashing a signature suggestive smirk at her. Fuck Eva, he could flirt all he wanted--and he didn't really want Lauren at all. To him, she would always be his little sister's best friend. Not even a catfight could change that.
Wait, she would always be his little sister's best friend?
"Do I have to have a reason? I haven't seen you in like forever." One of his steps were two of hers, he noticed. It made him feel rather manly, so he ran a subtle hand through his hair again. It seemed to only intensify his adorable arrogance. He continued following her, walking right next to her.

" Well I guess you don't need a reason to see me." She shrugged and laughed. It had been a long time since that had happened. Lauren needed a break. She grinned up at him as he ran his hand through his hair. yeah that's Jeremy for you.
She took a couple steps forward, looking back at him, nodding for him to come with her. " So..do you want to get something to eat?" She asked. Doing things with Jeremy had never been alkward, they had always been good friends. She removed her sunglasses that were perched on top of her head and slid them over her eyes. Lauren had a small angular face, being that way the huge sunglasses basically obscured most of her face.
