Bony fingers thrust around a warm cup of coffee, being brought to the lips of a girl. Picture perfect moment? Hmm, maybe, but that wasn’t so much Spencer. How bout just a day out on her own? Yes, that’ll do. Dressed in denim jean capris, rolled twice at the ends and sky blue Hollister top, Spencer sat at a table alone, starring down at an open magazine on the table. Setting her coffee back down, she took the skinny straw that sat inside of it and stirred it around a couple of times. She was reading an article about a girl who had met someone on Myspace and planned to well, marry this guy. Pathetic. Spencer actually found the three-page article amusing. It was so lame that people did this.
Crossing her legs up upon the booth that she was sitting on, Spencer continued to read the article, flipping the page when she was done.

Devin walked into the cafe in about the most foul emoish mood a guy could be in. His brother ditched him. He couldn't reach his cousin, or Zanna, or Tyler for that fact. HIs mom was at work and there was /nothing/ to do. Yes he was quite the grumpy butt today. He moved over to a table his messager bag at his waist he reached down and put it up on the table he now sat at. Before sitting though, he pulled up a pair of baggy girl jeans that were held up with out much luck by a brown belt. On his torso, now that, that was a tight purple shirt that ended right where the pants begun. On the shirt was a limegreen dinasuar going RAWR. He pulled out his laptop and his camera and started loading pictures onto it.

After finishing the article, Spencer took her coffee into hand and took a small sip, her eyes peering over the cups edge, glancing around at the few people in the cafe. She then let her view cast over Devin; he was alone and looking quite...sad. She smiled to herself, setting the drink down upon the table and closing the magazine. She then let her hands fall into her lap and fold. He had only been a few seats away, busy doing whatever on his computer. “Hey, geek.” She spoke quietly, but loud enough for him to hear her, or so she thought.

Devin looked up at Spencer a small smile flickered across his face, but just as quickly as it came, it disappeared. "If I'm a geek, you're a nerd. Its been awhile."He said closing His laptop and unplugging his camera. He got up and moved his stuff so he was sitting across from her.

“I, sir, am no nerd.” She remarked, letting a small smile appear upon her lips. “It has been a while. How are you and your brother?” she asked, wondering to herself why Drek wasn’t there. The last time Spencer had been with Devin was when Drek was there too, it seemed the two couldn’t let go of each other. It was kind of...cute. Following Devin’s movements until they were stopped and he was sitting before her, Spencer squirmed in her seat to get comfortable. She was sure Devin could entertain her with his stories, problems, etc. And she was of course there to listen, she didn’t have anything else to do anyways.

"I'm good, I don't know about Drek, he keeps ditching me lately.. And I don't know why."Devin said shrugging. He had just left it as a Drek had met someone and was spending his time with that person. "I'd beg to differ, ma'am."He said giving a half smile as he put his stuff away and relaxed into the chair. Glad to have somebody to help keep his mind off things.

“Oh, I see. So, you two have finally went your own ways?” she said, almost laughing, but not knowing why it was particularly funny. She shrugged with Devin, showing a sign that said ‘no worries, life is good.’ “So, how’s life on your side of the tracks?” she asked, though knowing there weren’t specifically any tracks in the O.C, it just came to mind. She wasn’t so sure as to what to talk about with Devin. It had been quite a while since the two had talked. I guess with Ryder now in her life, she didn’t have much time to hang out with Devin, though she still considered him a friend. They had been through some good times.

"Pretty good. The house is still standing."He said giggling being brought out of his bad mood little by little. "What about yours.. Who are you hanging out with now a days. I don't see you anymore?"He asked studing her he was wondering how they had grown so far apart when they had been really good friends.

Spencer laughed lightly, smiling at his words. “Uh, I guess I just got wrapped up in a lot of things. I’m actually not out of the house so much. It’s not the fact—or question of who I’m hanging out with, it’s just...when.” she responded, shrugging as to cover up what ever she couldn’t exactly explain. It was the truth though. I guess she just refrained from the outings. She had her occasional meet ups with someone every once in a while, but no one in particular. To tell you the truth, Ryder and her hadn’t even had so much time to themselves either.

Channel walked into the coffee shop and ordered a cappuccino to go. Yes, she didn't say non-fat. She was in a carby type of mood. She looked around and saw Spencer who she hadn't talked to in a while. She smiled and sauntered her way over to her and pulled up a chair, not even asking if it was alright. "Hey Spencer." She nodded toward Devin then said "Long time no see." as she started to suck down her Cappuccino.

“Yep, you’re a geek.” She concluded, laughing softly and taking another sip of her almost-gone coffee. “And yes, I guess you would.” She added, a light nod of her head making its presence. Pushing the magazine to the side a bit, Spencer looked up as Channel approached them. She smiled up at her and watched as she sat down. “Hey.” She said, exchanging the greeting. Suddenly, Channel made Spencer think of someone. Someone that she had not particularly liked and it made her nose wrinkle. Shaking the thought out of her mind, Spencer set down her drink and folded her arms over her chest.

Channel smiled at the two and said "So what have you been up too?" she looked around the coffee shop and saw that it was unusually empty today. She shrugged it off then saw Spencer wrinkle her nose at her.

Devin giggled and got up sitting down on Spencer's lap. "Oh oh looky at that, I caught a Spencer!"He cried laughing and getting up again. "Looks like you are now, forced to hang out with me... or atleast.. For today."He said smugly, or not relaly smugly but more happily. He needed to hang with someone.

“Nothing really, same old’, same old’.” Spencer said, looking back at Channel with a smile and then to Devin as he sat on her. “Get off me you fatty.” She joked, laughing all the same at his comment. She missed the times that they had spent together. Really, she missed being around people. What was she doing sitting on her ass at home? She needed to be with friends. She remembered when she couldn’t live without them, and now they were making her appreciate it more. A small smile was still plastered to her face as she glanced around the shop and then back to the two before her.
