RULES
1. This board is literate, meaning: No chatspeak. Or one-liners.
2. Godmoding is not appreciated, and we will correct you.
Example:
Okay (If Alexandra were posting): Alexandra and Ryan were walking. Alexandra held Ryan's hand. She hoped he felt that everything would be okay.
Not okay (if Alexandra were posting): Alexandra and Ryan were walking. Alexandra held Ryan's hand. Ryan squeezed to let her know things were okay.
3. Before you apply, please know that this board is rated PG-13 to R. This means: sexual situations, fights, drinking, drugs. Can't deal? Don't apply. I'm not changing this for you.
4. If you do not post at least once every five days, I reserve the right to delete your character. To keep the board going, we need everyone active--it's so key, I can't explain it any further. Shouldn't need to, either.
5. The chat box at the very bottom of the page is not used for roleplaying. Please keep it clean in the c-box, meaning--no rude comments ANYWHERE, and no fighting. Take it to PM if it gets ugly.
6. Please, always stay in character on the character boards. Read everything before posting. You need to be aware of what is going on around you.
7. Don't be afraid to ask me for help.
8. PM stands for Private Messages. If you would like to discuss something with another member PRIVATELY, please PM them. Do not use any other threads or boards.
9. If you want to create a roleplay, then make your own thread in any of the designated "IN CHARACTER" areas.
10. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE REGISTERED DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE ACCEPTED. You can post in the c-box or in the audition board even if you aren't accepted.
11. Your c-box name (the c-box is the little ongoing chat box on the bottom of the page) should be your real name or a nickname. Your character name is, obviously, made-up.
12. Every character must have one living parent or guardian--characters that are too "pity-me" get boring quite quickly. They have to have a place to live. No celebrities or runaway royalty. Characters that are trying to break into journalism, writing, acting, modeling--that's fine. But having Angelina Jolie or Paris Hilton suddenly decide to move to Orange County? Honey, I don't think so.
13. Your "display name" should be the same as your character's name, so there is no confusion.
14. For now, four characters is the maximum for any given person. Please make seperate accounts for different characters.
15. Only five characters or less to a thread, excluding parties and cotillion.
16. At the end of your application, post, "Can you handle the drama?"
17. Posts must be two paragraphs at the very least, so don't complain when you get a PM from me asking why you're not up to that standard.
18. If you change your celebrity representation, don't change your personality. This ruins a lot of plots revolving around you.
19. Plots--ANY sub plot--should be posted in the "Pitching Plots and Ideas" board. Secrets shared between members gets irritating, and everyone involved in the plots should be aware of it. On advanced roleplaying boards, they always let people know of romances, illnesses, or fights. It's called planning.
