Smiling as she accepted her food, she said, "Thanks," taking a sip of her coke first. She was addicted to the drink, that was for sure. No one could give her other sodas if they weren't mixed with something else. Not that it ever happened, as she didn't drink liqour.
Placing her soda between her knees, she was in the process of unwrapping her burrito when Danny spoke. She chuckled. "I guess I haven't noticed," she said with a grin, turning to look at him. Seeing the sauce on his face, she paused and took one of her napkins, reaching across to him and wiping it off. Just because. "Well, I'm not so sure what I'm going to do today," she mused, returning to her burrito, taking a bite out of it and chewing thoughtfully. "I have art class for a couple hours this afternoon but I'm not so sure if Imma go yet," she murmured, shrugging. "Leon and Angelina asked me to dinner later so I got tonight all planned out."
Something was weighing on her mind though, and she wasn't so certain if she should bring it up or not. She was just...curious. As always.

Danny smiled as she wiped it off, a bit embarresed but not so much. After all they are pretty good friends, right? He took a few more bites sterring as well as he could he decided to park and eat, so he pulled into some plaza parking lot and did so. "oh, really?" he paused so he could take a sip, "what do you do in art class, like uhmm... other then paint, well like what do you paint?" he said trying to get her to understand what he was trying to say. "Leon and Angelina? Hmmm... more people i havnt yet met, or really heard of." he laughed at how sad that sounded. He took another bite of his burrito then asked "so is going to dinner with them going to be fun?" he paused hoping it didnt make him seem like a jerk, he just meant well... if she wanted to go. "well, that sounded bad i meant like uhmm... shoot, are they cool?" he laughed at himself for how sad he was not being able to explain.

After another bite of her burrito, Amber said, "Well, I paint any and everything. We even did paintings of nude models a couple times. I don't see how people could get naked in front of a whole group of people like that. All for art though." Smiling, she added, "I don't only paint though. I sketch, use charcoal, chalks. You know those things you sometimes see on streets and walls? That washed right off when it rains? That. I love it."
Wiping her eyebrow, she tilted her head to the side, wondering about his initial question. When he explained, she nodded. "Dinner with them is going to be good I believe," she smiled. "They were really nice when I met them yesterday. Nice enough to invite lil ole me to dinner," she chuckled. "They good people though. Italians. They just moved here like you." Pausing she furrowed her brows. "Oh, and I met Olivia yesterday," she added nonchalantly. She was just mentioning it.

Danny smiled with his mouth full, he swallowed then said "wow, seems really cool... your lucky that your talented like that." he smiled then took a sip of hid dr.pepper. Danny said "thats good, finally im not the only new guy." he smiled then took another sip, when he heard that she had met olivia he practicly choked on his drink. He swalloed it down, "uhmmm," he paused then pulled on his shoulder, "you friends?....what'd she tell you..?" he didnt really know what to say to that.

Shrugging lightly, Amber replied, "Its the /only/ thing I have talent in. I can't do anything else." She turned her cup of soda, pursing her lips to the side, studying Danny. His nervous habit of pulling on his shoulder, and the fact that he choked on his drink, causedAmber to furrow her brows. Why was he so nervous and seemingly anxious about what Olivia had told her?
"We aint friends," she began slowly, looking down at her burrito. "I just asked her if she knew you since she said she was from Indiana, and she said yeah. That you two dated for two years and whatever. I took it that she was the ex-girlfriend you were talking about," she murmured and paused for a moment. "She asked me if I liked you...and that she didn't care if I do. We didn't really talk after that..." she trailed off, shrugging lightly. "Don't worry, we didn't talk long enough for she to tell me anything about you..."
Sipping her soda, she peeked at Danny through the corner of her eye. "So how's the personal life?" she asked. "On the dating scene?" Oh, she'd heard alright. Not anything about a date, but something.

"well, who knows you just might be the next big pro at surfing to" he smiled, feeling her eyes on him. "It doesnt matter to me if you where, im not your boss." he said kindly, "oh... okay, but you see dont think that im keeping anything from you because im not. Its just that...well she can have an affect on people to make it look like im the bad guy, thats all." he said then scratched his head, there was still some salt from the ocean in his hair.
Danny smiled at that, "uhmmm... its alright, still single though. Rachel doesnt seem as into me as i thought, i geuss i pretty much screwed her over thought with Scott." he paused, "what about you?"

"Next big pro at surfing?" Amber laughed out loud at that one. "No way babe. I'm pretty sure doing it for fun is all I'm going to be good at. I'll be looking for you on the pro circut though," she winked. "Mmm, well, I don't really believe much things I don't see. Well, except when it comes to certain people," she admitted. "And I don't think you're my boss. If I wanted to be friends with her, we'll be friends. We just didn't get the opportunity to talk long since I disappeared to do some...thinking that day," she murmured.
Finishing off her burrito, she wiped her hands, picking her soda cup up and resting back to drink it. "Hmmm, Rachel," she said slowly, sipping some of her drink as she thought. "Maybe she is into you and rather keeping you guessing as to her real feelings," she muttered, though wasn't all too sure about that. She didn't know much about the girl, so who was Amber to say? "And hey, you couldn't screw anything over if you didn't know," she added logically. "I don't know what happened, but I'll bet both of you were willing participants, so don't be taking the full blame..." she trailed off, looking out through the window. "Single," she said simply. Danny laughed too "well you never know, as for me... I think not. Even if I did get the chance to do so, I doubt I would take it." he stated then grinned at what she had said "thats good" he said not knowing what else to say to that, though he did like how she had her own opinion on things.
He had finished as well, so he put his trash in the bag witch was now pretty much full of trash. Danny lightly laughed "yeah... well then she is doing a pretty good job at it." he joked. "oh.. yea I geuss, but it doesnt mean that he still doesnt wanna kick my ass." he said joking as well, he wasnt to worried about it. "oh...so there isnt any guys your interested in?" he asked grinning hoping he could get something out of her.
He then leaned back in his chair, not quire ready to head home. But of course he would the second she gave him a hint... but as he looked at Amber thinking how he loved that him and Amber where becoming such good friends.

Arching a brow, Amber asked, "Why not?" It seemed to her that surfing would be a good and fun endeavor. "What you wanting to do as a career?" she questioned, wondering where his goals were laid. She didn't ask him the last time they talked, as they'd been busy discussing a whole lot of interesting shit.
"Mmmhmm. Some girls are good at that," she murmured, swirling the contents in her cup before opening it and removing a chip of ice. "Heh. Silly boy. If he'd have known you, he'd know that you weren't the type to try and take another guy's girlfriend. At least I don't think you're that type," she chuckled before smirking.
Examining his next question for a few moments, she summed it up in a delicate reply. "I'm a busy girl," she began after chewing on her ice and watching the odd car pass now and then. "I don't have time for anyone. Relationships and me...they don't mix. Guys and me usually just stay at the friendship point. I'm not a desperate gal so I won't run after any guy or let 'em kiss me on the first day. Maybe I'll have a date with someone, but I don't look much into it. Not with my track record. Never had a serious relationship."

Danny rubbed his head then replied "I dont know, it sounds ok but.." he trailed off, "uhmm, nothing really. Kinda sound like either a complete failure right now huh? I just dont know what im going to do." he said not willing to make eye contact.
He smiled and nodded in agreement "no, im deffinately not that type." he replied, even though it has happened before. All on accident, he had had good intentions though.
"oh, wow didnt see that one coming." he paused smiling "so what is your type if some guy ended up blowing you away making you want a relationship?" he questioned, hoping not to get to nosey, he just was really curious.

Amber shrugged. "You're only sixteen right?" she asked, smiling. "You have plenty of time to decide what the hell you want to do with your life. I was just different. I knew from I was young what I wanted to do and I'm making the right steps towards that goal. Someday, I hope to own a renown art gallery," she informed him. "And no, not just to showcase my work, but other starting artists as well. S'long as I see they have the talent, they're more than welcome. Its something I plan to do on my own though. I don't want mom to fund me anything."
Grinning, she looked at him finally. "If you were that type, I'd have advised you to run, as I wouldn't have hesitated to knock you upside your head for being a fool," she teased. "You're becoming a good friend and all, but even the best of friends deserve a good smack every now and then."
Pausing, she explored this question as well. "I can't really say," she mumbled. "I know for sure no guy is going to blow me away. To do that he's going to have to be coming with some category five hurricane force winds," she laughed. "Though, I guess my type of guy is someone who doesn't try too hard. I'm not going to bow down to someone who has great looks but is an arrogant prat who thinks money rules the world. Hell no. He can go get someone else to kiss his ass," she said slightly bitterly. "He has to be sweet too. Be his own guy and not some stupid follower. I don't want anyone who'll do what I say or want to be with me twenty/four seven either. I already have my dog for that," she smiled. "Oh, and he better not object when I decide to pay for everything, including his meal on occasion."
Turning to look at him again, she crossed her legs. "So tell me, what's it about Rachel you love so much?" she asked, moving some flyaway strands of hair out of her face.

"yeah I geuss" he said then listened to what she had to say "that seems really great, im sure you'll accomplish that. You know its cool how you like to only depend on yourself." he commented.
Danny just laughed at that, for there really wasnt anything to say to it other then to agree. "Seems possible, im sure you'll find him." he paused then laughed "well, i geuss it aint me huh?!" he joked.
oh great... back to me again he thought once she asked him that question. "well, its that she can be unpredictalbe, and she isnt at all like most girls.... like she isnt shy, or like she wont wait for me to tell her what to do she'll just do it. And I admire that, also that she says whats on her mind. Even though... she can be a bitch... its nice to know that she isnt all soft and has the mind to stick up for something." he paused, "if that makes any sense." he said as he turned the car on deciding that they could talk as thy drove, not that he was in a hurry he just didnt want her to miss anything--like and art class or something.

"Mmhmm. Thanks," Amber murmured before smirking. "No, it aint you Danny," she laughed, shaking her head. "Maybe the first time we talked I may have thought so but now...we're more compatable as friends," she nodded. "And I'm glad we are too. Ha, meaning that it's good to have someone like you in my life. Someone different. We'll be as tight as spandex soon enough. Maybe not the bestest friends, but close enough."
As he discussed Rachel, she nodded at the right moments. "Unpredictable is nice. It keeps you on your toes. She's independent. Cool," she summed up, nodding. "Well, all I know is that she better not break your heart Danny. No, I won't be beating anyone up if they do that," she laughed. "But she better not. You're too sweet. Don't deserve it. Anyway, enough talking about the love life and the /non-existant/ love life," she smirked, not at all caring that she didn't have one. Life wasn't all about romance and love anyway. Plus, her love laid in her family and her artwork.
"Hmmm, ready to leave me?" she asked teasingly, noting that he had started the car back up. "Eh, might as well head back indeed. So I can go get ready and...do something," she finished mysteriously. "I'm tired," she covered up a yawn, setting her head back and closing her eyes. "When should I expect to be brought out to learn to surf again?" she inquired.

Danny laughed "naw, the best of friends just like spandex." he joked "yea, I hope not." he agreed on stopping from talking about it. "No... I just dont want you late for your art, and didnt want to have you suffer being with me to long once the beans settle in." he joked, parially true. "well, how about in a couple of days....like two?" he suggested.

Grinning, Amber nodded. "Spandex it is," she smirked before laughing out loud at his next comment. "Danny, you're a trip. I'm sure whatever you let go won't be too bad. The windows are open right? Naturally airing it out," she chuckled again. "Hmmm, two days sounds good to me. Just gimme a call at five in the morning again. I promise I won't come outside and throw something at you."
Lightly scratching at her cheek, she stretched. "So, what music you into?" she asked, intending to learn a little more about her new friend.
