She smiled some as she listened to him speak. Typical older brother you read about in books and stuff. How the guys would have a nice talking to with the younger sisters boyfriend at the time being. She didn't know anything about that though since she was an only child. She wondered how exactly that worked out most of the time in real life. And she also wondered if Louis would get that way. He could be quiet protective..like an older brother when they'd be hanging out.

“So...” Jimmy began, trying to think of something to talk about. If he couldn’t come up with anything, or the time spent with one just got really boring, he could always just come up with some excuse to leave, after all he wasn’t really one to carry out a conversation. “So, are you new here? I haven’t seen you around before.” He questioned her, looking up from his feet towards her as he did so. Jimmy and his family may not have been in California for their whole lives like some of the chicks he saw around town, but they had been there long enough for Jimmy to recognize some people.

Hearing his question Noelle didn't say anything for a moment and then shook her head 'no'. "I've lived here my whole life," she said with a pause. "Though the last four months or so I was in.." she said with a pause. "Well rehab." she said telling the truth. She really didn't care anymore. The truth was the best, there was no point in lying about it...people knew. She knew that. "I used to have a pot problem." she finished. There it was all out. She told him where she'd been for the past four months. And she was wondering how he'd react. Knowing some people would probably be all, eh...bad crowd. And others simply wouldn't care. Naturally she liked it better when people didn't care.

Jimmy stopped for a moment and looked out towards the water. After removing a hand from the back of his neck, which he had placed there in order to rub it caused by feeling a little uncomfortable about her response, Jimmy finally spoke, “Wow, that’s...interesting.” he said with a light laugh. “A pot problem, huh?” he questioned with a smirk. “So, we have ourselves a bad girl, or former bad girl.” He continued, looking back towards her and continuing to walk again. “Well, I am surprised that I haven’t seen you around, or even heard of you and your problem....” he let his voice trail off. Maybe she felt uncomfortable talking about the situation so Jimmy offered to drop the subject, leaving it available for her to pick up if she wanted.

A small sigh of relief inside as he didn't pull a oh.. well nice talking to you..I better get going. That was nice. "Well..I pretty much only hung out with the same three people before I left." she said then. "Rachel, Lauren, and Chris." she listed them off. Chris being her ex-boyfriend. Who'd graduated this past year. Then was going back-packing around Europe before he'd head off to college, so she didn't have to deal with him...which made her very-very happy.

“Wait, so it was them three who had gotten you into the whole drug thing?” he asked, a bit confused as to where these three people she had mentioned stood in her life. He gave her a questioning stare, one that showed Jimmy’s ‘slow’ side. The one that made him look so helpless and lost. The one that told people he was one of those guys who could careless about school and was probably a jock who was just looking to get some. All of it may have been true, but he was going to change. He was.

Noelle shook her head quickly in responce. "Just...Chris." she said then."But I don't talk to him anymore.." she added then, as tucked back some of that blonde hair, which was getting on her nerves a good deal at the moment.

“Well that is good, I guess.” Jimmy said slowly with a light smile. He could feel the vibe that she was getting uncomfortable and decided to drop the subject completely. “So, do you know Spencer?” he asked, shrugging at the subject he had thought to bring up. I mean, Noelle /was/ a girl and so was Spencer, there was a chance that they had known each other and Jimmy really had nothing else to say to the girl, he knew he wouldn’t have.

Noelle was silent for a moment, unsure if she did or not. Did she know Spencer? Did she meet her at Rachel's party? She couldn't remember. If she did she'd have only met the girl once. "I don't think so..." Noelle said slowly in reply, really not sure if she did or didn't. She wasn't one who was very good with names either.

Jimmy laughed, sensing her unsureity. “Okay, well, I guess that isn’t exactly a bad thing. My sister is only a girl, no one special.” He stated with a wide grin. “So, what do you do for fun around here?” he asked, tilting his head to the side just slightly so that she was visible through the corner of his eye. His hands fidgeted with some coins in his pocket as he looked blankly at the side of her face.

"Oh..I normally hang out at the beach..or the boardwalk with my friends." she said with a light shrug of her shoulders. "Normal stuff." she finished. "What about?" she questioned him then, as her gaze shifted up to him then.

“Nothing really. My brother and I usually just walk around, shoot from club to club, that kind of stuff.” He stated, dropping his gaze back to his boots as they clunked along the pavement. With nothing really left to say, Jimmy realized that him and this girl, Noelle, really didn’t have much in common. He was simply just looking for someone to talk to and the person he chose really didn’t click with him. “Listen, it was good talking to you and I really think you have made me change my mind about a lot of things and I thank you for that, but for now, I think I will head home. I haven’t exactly been home within the last two days and some sleep would do me good.” He started as he had stopped walking and looked at her. “Maybe I will see you around.” He finished before adding a quick ‘good bye’ and before she could say anything else, Jimmy was walking back towards the direction of his home.
