A slight frown pulled on her lips as she continued to walk down the sidewalk, and it was soon gone as she came to a shop that she didn't really dislike all that much. She'd come here because well Madelaine, Noelle's nanny...and well...she guessed kinda hers now too had told her about it...supposiedly Noelle liked to shop here a bit. So she figured she'd check it out. The red head about thirty minutes later exited the shop she'd been in with a bag in hand, and she was on her way again looking for something that she thought might have something worth buying (in her opinion) in it. The girl was dressed in simple shopping clothes, something that would be easy to get out of and back into if she wanted to try something on. An Anna Molinari God Save the Queen shirt was worn. It was sleeve-less, but covered her shoulders. The shirt was white and then the picture of the queen and the wording were in black, white and gray, and then of course down at the bottom Sex Pistols was printed as well. A pair of dark washed Diesel jeans were worn, which fit her rather tightly, being that they were of the skinny line. A pair of black flats were worn with a large black rose in the middle of each shoe. Her hand moved to her pocket as she pulled out her red lighter and then a cigarette was removed from her purse and she lit up, exhaling and then she continued on her way. Her green eyes were lined with black liner and mascara clung to her lashes. MAC 'Lustreglass' lipgloss was worn. The color named loved nectar was a pinkish-peach color and it looked like with her skin complexion. The females nails were painted a shiny gray color, the nail polish also of the MAC line. Besides that no other make-up was worn. The lipgloss though on her lips clung to the white of the cigarette left a pinkish ring around it and she couldn't help but smile just a little bit. Yes, according to the laws in the U.S. the female shouldn't be smoking since she was only seventeen, but in five weeks she'd be eighteen, and she could find out other ways to get her cigarettes until then...

Another day in the O.C meant another day of shopping, of course. Cassie strutted down the street lined in shops, being sure to stay under the overhang. Her hazel eyes were scanning the window-fronts of each shop, coming up with a first impression for each. To shop, or not to shop, that was the question. Eventually deciding on an order of entry, the girl stopped in front of the first on her mental-list. Tugging at her knee length canary yellow sundress, Cassie made sure she looked appropriate. She tended to wear dresses when shopping because they made for easy changing. Her hair fell just past her shoulders in loose curls. She often wore it up, so today she felt a little weird. White oversized sunglasses sheltered her eyes from the Californian sun, and coordinated well with the small patternwork along the bottom of her dress. She felt rather girly today, with chunky white beads dangling from her neck and running along her collarbone. A white polka dotted wrist-let was clutched in her grasp and as she entered the shop, she allowed it to slide up around her wrist. Her make-up consisted of a thin line of blackish brown eyeliner and a tad bit of mascara to enhance her lashes. She rarely wore more than eye makeup, so this was how she typically looked. On her feet were white wedges, adding to her 5'7 height even more. Today was rather bland, considering no one was really around. However, a casually dressed red head caught her eye from outside of the shop. Exiting it quickly, Cassie approached the girl. She'd been feeling wildly spontanious today, so why not use it to her advantage? "Morning," she said simply, ducking her head around to meet eyes with the girl. Heck, it was around noon; so morning still applied, she supposed. A warm smile graced her face, exposing a pearly white smile. Now to wait for a response. Hopefully she hadn't appeared to be too much of a fool.

"Good morning." she said a small smile forming on her lips as she looked to the female who'd approached her. First person besides Madelaine and Noelle she'd spoken to since she'd gotten here. Finishing her cigarette, she glanced over her shoulder as she kicked her her heel and put the cigarette out on that. Now to find a garbage can. Though she could do that in a moment, this girl had made an effort to talk to her, and she didn't seem like the reason she had been was to say anything rude. So Adri figured why not be equally nice, and you know... respond a bit more. "I'm Adri." she said then introducing herself, which is what she'd finally decided to do after a moment longer of silence. She would have extended a hand or something, but a dead cigarette was in one hand and a bag in the other...so you see she really couldn't.

Cassie's smile remained as she responded. She watched as the girl put out her cigarette. Gosh, did everyone here smoke? "Cassie," she said simply, hoping that Adri knew what she meant. "And it's very nice to meet you. To the garabage can we go," she exclaimed, realizing that she'd most likely been looking for a garabage can to throw her cigarette away in. As they approached the can, Cassie added, "I've been meaning to find someone to shop with. It seems like this is a dead town today. Doncha think?" She wasn't exactly the best conversationist in the world, but she knew how to make a person feel comfortable. "Speaking of which, I've yet to see you here before. You new?" Of course she was new, duh. But asking a simple question couldn't hurt. Plus, the girl seemed nice enough, so who cared. Once the girl had a free hand, Cassie extended hers out to Adri, offering herself up. She felt good being polite, though it wasn't exactly out of the ordinary for her.

It took Adri a moment to figure out what she meant by the whole garbage can thing but once she had she moved, following the female and threw out her cigarette butt. At the part about it being empty Adri simply shrugged her shoulders a little bit. Not sure of how else to reply..she really wasn't sure what it was /normally/ like around here. "Yeah, I'm new." she replied nodding her head slightly. If that British accent wasn't enough to give it away. "From London." she finished. After saying the second part the thoughts that ran through her head were obviously. But that was humans for you...stating the obvious...so says Douglas Adams in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Cassie's personality really did seem to match the way she was dressed, and she wondered if that was simply the way it was since they'd just met or if it was always like that. And when Cassie extended her hand Adri of course took it, and after giving it a small shake let it go.

"London, wow." she beamed, her eyes wide with wonder. "I've always wanted to go to London," This was true, considering Cassie's been begging her parents to take her ever since Layne went and told her all about it. The people, the food, the atmosphere, it was all just so... electric. "Did you like it there?" she inquired, glancing to find a nearby bench. After spotting one under the overhang, Cassie began walking towards it, gesturing for Adri to follow. The sky was rather dark, and it almost looked as though it was about to storm. Shuddering at the thought, she looked back to Adri. "I'm sure it was amazing." Sighing inwardly, she placed her hands in her lap, lacing her two hands' fingers together. Shopping wasn't that exciting when you could be getting to know someone instead. The shops seemed to fade into the backround, just about as bland as the rest of the scenery, and all that really mattered to Cassie at the moment was her conversation with Adri. How nice, right?

"Yeah, quite a bit." she replied. Really if any of it had been up to her she wouldn't have moved. But it hadn't been up to her...it had been up to her mother and newly found father. But okay, alright California didn't seem so bad. It could be worse...she could be living in some kick town. Hah. "Yep, London is pretty amazing...there's always something going on." she replied. Not to mention all her lovely friends who hated any sort of drama. And her one friend had bought some tv show on DVD before she left something that had been playing on TV some reality show and had her watch it with her...and she hoped that's not what things were going to slide into...drama like that. She'd shoot herself...promise you she would. "So have you lived here your whole life?" Adri asked her.

"Really? That's so great. I've heard a lot about London from family members and such, but never gone. It sounds fun," she shrugged, kicking herself for never going there. Focusing on her next question, Cassie replied with "Nah, Actually I haven't been here much longer than you. Just moved here about a week and a half ago." She smiled, straitening her posture. "I'm from L.A originally. Came here to work on my career." She nodded a bit as she spoke, as if she was suprised at her own response. She guessed she looked more like a Cali girl than she thought. Wetting slightly drying lips, Cassie looked away at the shops once more before returning her gaze back to Adri. "I love you accent, by the way," she said softly, giving a small chilish smile. After laughing quickly, she clasped her hands together excitedly. "So, are we here to shop or not?" She asked, remembering she was in dier need of a gift for a Layne. It's not everyday that your cousin whom you haven't seen in three years lets you come live with her. "Shall we then?"

"Your career?" Adri inquired, wondering what that might be. And as Cassie said that she loved Adri's accent a stream of laugher escaped her lips. Good natured laughter though, not as though like she was laughing at her...really though no one had ever said that to her. All of her friends in the past had either been British like herself or they'd been Parisian, so the whole accent comment had never come up. She really had never been one to talk to tourists much either, and where she'd worked back in London hadn't exactly been the most touristy spot, but a spot where fellow Londoners went. "Thank you." she said then after the laughing had stopped, though it hadn't lasted for very long in the first place. "We shall." Adri said then with a smile as she stood up. She really couldn't help but feel entirely comfortable around Cassie even though they'd just met.

"Ah yes, my career. I guess you could call it that, at least. I'm here because I want to work on my acting career. I've been acting since I was ten, so I guess you can say I'm ready to make a living out of it. Though I haven't been on T.V at all, I've done many many stage productions. Once I get known here I'll probably start making my way to New York in an attempt to get on Broadway." Wow, that was long Cassie thought, immediately wishing she hadn't said so much. Especially because her dreams were so wild. Most people came here because they already had careers, or were at least finishing up the process. And here Cassie was, still caught up in some fantasy that told her she could actually make something of her life. Oh very niave.
Cassie also laughed a bit when Adri did, but hers was more of a questioning laugh. She wasn't exactly sure why the question was so unusual, but she supposed it must be. Also standing up as Adri did, Cassie unzipped her bag and slid in her sunglasses, which she'd slipped off of her face awhile ago. It wasn't even sunny anymore. "Where to?"

"Oh that's neat." she replied. Acting every day people were trying to make it in the acting world. Cassie had the looks for it, but Adri wasn't sure exactly if she'd be able to...being that it was so hard to get noticed. But she couldn't help but hope that she did. Get noticed and make if far with her dream of acting that is.
"Well." Adri said then. "I've pretty much already looked at all the shops back down that way...so this way?" she said then as she pointed to the right.

"Yes, I can only hope. I've got an expansive portfolio though, so I'm well prepared." She shrugged a bit, turning on her heels to her right as Adri mentioned having not looked down that way. "Lovely. I haven't been down this way yet either." She began walking, signaling for Adri to follow. Excitement overcame Cassie as she spotted a shop full of vintage inspired pieces. "Oooh, Can we go in here?" she asked, giving Adri a questioning glance. By what she had been wearing, it made deciphering her style hard. Scampering up to the window, Cassie peered in like a child, giggling as she did so. She knew she looked like an idiot, but who cared? It's not like anyone was even around, and if they were, she didn't know anyone. And Adri was completely nice, so she had no objections to being silly. After meeting eyes with a white fitted hakf-vest, Cassie looked back to Adri, hoping she had followed. If not, their day together just may have been ending.

Adri moved following Cassie as they started to the right, and as she got excited about the vintage shop Adri couldn't help but smile, almost laughing a little bit. Being around Cassie definitely made Adri the mellow one. She felt as though she had to be or else there would be just too much excitement for her to handle. "Yeah, let's go in...that place looks good." she said then, by looking in the window she'd spotted several things she wouldn't mind trying on.

"Yess," she replied, quickly moving to the door and pulling it open. Standing off to the side, she held the door open for Adri. Following her in and letting the door close, Cassie immediately began sifting through things on the racks. Once she'd succeeded in finding the vest in her size, she held it up to Adri, saying "Is it not adorable?" And then slung it over her folded arm. There was no need to try it on because if it didn't fit it wouldn't be by much and she could get it tailored. That's how most things that she bought were, so her tailor was pretty much always busy. Along with the vest she grabbed a white vinyl 4 inch wide belt for around her waist. Of course she wouldn't wear them together, but she'd picked out a melon colored tunic the other day and knew they'd go together fantastically. "See anything you like?" she asked, hoping Adri didn't hate everything in the store. Cassie knew what it was like to be somewhere that just wasn't your style. Items in hand, she moved over to where the girl was, coming so see what she'd picked out.

Adri slowly wandered around the store. Sadly she hadn't found anything here. "Ah...not really...not yet." she replied as Cassie joined her. Adri and clothes always took a really long time. She had to look at the article of clothing think about if she wanted it or not. Would it look good on her? Was it a good color with red. Some things she knew just didn't look good on red-heads. Like that dress that Cassie was wearing. Oh so cute on her, but surely if Adri put it on she'd look quite silly.
