ABOUT YOU:
Name: (what you want us to call you in the c-box:) Meg.
Age: 14
How long have you been roleplaying: About a year
How you heard about us: Neoboard
How active you plan to be: Um, I’m on at least once everyday.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:
Full Name: Cassidy (Cassie) Lucia Locklere.
Age: 19
Gender: female
Race: Caucasian
Appearance: Cassie loves being a girl, and she’s always ready to take advantage of it. With her long blonde hair and lively navy eyes, she commands attention just by walking into a room. She has a perfectly youthful face, which sometimes leads others to believe that she’s younger than in actuality. Her height is what separates her from a child-like appearance. She stands at 5’7. A narrow frame and long extremities complete her, but she maintains healthy curves.
Cassie adores wearing dresses, and accessories are always needed, of course. A cute clutch really can make the outfit, or so she says. This is probably why a passer-by can spot her in a sophisticated pencil skirt or a sweater dress more times than not. She dresses very similar to her cousin, Layne Hudson. Layne is probably more casual than Cassie, but essentially, they’re two of a kind. A typical day for Cassie consists of a deeply saturated colored blouse, most likely a shade of teal or emerald, and a bold piece of jewelry. Jewelry really makes a statement, hence why she would wear it.
Celebrity That They Look Like: Sabrina/Kelly Aldridge.
Personality: Sweetheart is the most fitting adjective to describe her. Cassie enjoys just playing some pinball at the arcade, but in the same breath, she’s always willing to splurge at a fancy restaurant. She loves to flirt, but isn’t one to be unfaithful. Give the girl a chocolate bar and watch her go. She’s naturally hyperactive, so any small distractions can spell big trouble. On the other hand, Cassie always knows when it’s time to settle down and leave things in silence. She’s fun loving, expressive, bubbly, and confident. One of her best traits is her knowledge that the best things you do are the first things you do. So go with your gut, and don’t you ever regret it. She’s the kind of person who carries a napkin around, if you know what I mean. A true thespian she is, why, with her love of all things ‘Fine Art’ it leaves little time for work. Cassie loves acting most, but singing comes in at a close second. Her favorite part of acting is improvisation, because you’ve got no time to think, and everything you do is your gut instinct. There are no ‘do-overs,’ it’s just you, and your scene.
Flaws: Eeek, the dreaded flaws. Well, everyone’s got them, so what’s there to be afraid of? The biggest flaw she has is probably her inability to catch detail. She walks into a room and picks one thing she finds the most interesting, and everything else is ignored. She doesn’t ignore people, per say, but more of material things. This made school hard for her. Cassie always struggled in math, missing easy instructions like ‘simplify’ and things like that. Eventually she grew used to it and found a way to control these read-overs, and things were okay after that. Occasionally, however, she still has outbursts. Cassie’s major physical flaw would have to be her wrists, so she says. To her they are /too/ tiny, and raise questions – along with eyebrows – as to how they got that way. Eating disorders were mentioned, but Cassie insists that she is healthy, and her wrists are the way they are only because she was born that way. All of this is the truth, and there has never been an eating disorder. She wears bulky jewelry to cover her wrists, but there are some times when nothing can be done. Try as she might, Cassie’s wrists will remain tiny forever more.
History: Cassidy Locklere was born on March 14th, 1989 in sunny LA. She has lived there her entire life, along with Jarrod and Carol Locklere, management of a printing press which provided them with expensive living style. Cassie had an older brother named Luke, who was eight when she was born. The happy family lived in peace until Cassie was six. She and her brother had always got along as children, but for some reason he decided to be a moron and become an addict. True, he was only fourteen, and with his foolish decision came consequences. He was lost at the age of fifteen. She drifted away from social situations, casting off into solitude. There she remained until religion brought her back down to earth. She and Layne found common interest in church, and bonded by it. This was a big reason why Cassie decided to move to the O.C. Sure, things were good in LA, but after hearing of Layne’s huge move from New York, it was definitely time to reconnect. And who knew that she’d soon be moving in with her? To tell you the truth, Cassie always looked up to Layne, despite Cassie being the older cousin. Layne was always pretty, and not to mention a phenomenal dancer. And despite all the hardships her family had encountered, the Hudson’s always found a way to be optimistic. Yes, Cassie was /extremely/ excited to be moving in with her cousin. Anyways, around eight or nine, Cassie got into acting. It quickly became her favorite thing to do, and being the persistently dedicated person she is, Cassie mastered the art of, well, fine arts. Resisting moving to New York to pursue her acting career, she decided it may be easier just to travel to the O.C instead. Signal the welcoming committee.
Living Situation: Cassie moved to the O.C to make herself known. Considering that almost everybody knows everybody in Orange County, she figured it’d be a good idea before she attempts to make it in the big leagues. Told you she’s smart, eh? Cassie’s dropping in on her cousin Layne for the time being, having recently caught wind that she’s moved to the O.C. Let’s hope Layne’s alright with the news.
Roleplaying Sample: (This is an intro I typed up for a Peter Pan spin-off. My character is a made-up, and the intro probably won’t make much sense unless you knew the plot, but hopefully it’ll work.) A few stray shimmers of light seeped in the young man’s eyelids as he slept. The world around him had changed all too much in the previous hours, and he had yet to experience it. His consciousness had drifted away into oblivion as he slept, aiding in his lethargy. His chest rose and fell in relaxed beats, coinciding with the thumping of his heart. His actions were scattered, allowing involuntary movements to take place of his otherwise motionless sleeping. ©
As the boy slept his chestnut hair had completed its untamed ways by forming waves along the top of his head. It hung loosely, hanging in his eyes a bit. His body laid limply on a rather large bolder, providing little to no comfort for him as he slept. What was taking place inside his mind was far less dangerous than what waited for him in actuality. His slumber was heavy, but had recently lightened up. Actions increased, and he soon found himself mumbling softly. ©
Almost, without any warning, his elbow jerked backwards, slamming hard into the boulder. Pain shot through his arm, extending from his shoulder blade down to the tips of his fingers. Nearly a second later, he was up, wide eyed and confused. Tall trees and beautiful shrubbery were taken in by two hazel eyes. They also spotted a circle of people, looking both shocked and delighted. ‘This is a dream.’ He thought to himself, raising a worn hand to his forehead. ©
He leaned back on the boulder, feeling goose bumps forming on his arms. As his hand touched his forehead, he felt himself. He was awake. The next question that formed in his head was “How did I get here?” he quickly found that he was speaking aloud. His voice was rushed and frantic, but it held a certain confidence that was uncommon. It was neither high nor low, but somewhere in the middle. The boy sat up on the palms of his hands, still attempting to calm down. ©
The throbbing pain in his elbow didn’t help the matter, but it gave him something else to focus on. An expression of confusion and sadness played across his features as he sat there, examining his options. ‘Hmm.’ He thought. ‘Maybe I can run.’ He had always loved running, but never found himself to be any good at it. ‘Nah. That won’t work.’ The boy had never talked to himself this much before, but he had never been kidnapped and taken away to a far off land before, either. ©
He threw his options in front of himself, examining them with great detail. It soon came across to him that he had not taken the time to get a good look at the people before him. There were many young, rather short boys, all with curly mops of hair on their heads. Their eyes were wide with wonder, and they were dressed in clothing unbeknownst to this particular man. And then there was he. A tall, dashing lad, with the most enchanting emerald eyes, that stood before him. ©
A rather sweet smile was on his face, and his hands were clasped together in delight. He knew the man wished to say something to him. Taking in a deep breath of crisp clean air, he paced himself. Just then, Henry sat forward, resting his elbows; one a bit swollen, on his knees. He tried to avoid wincing as they touched, and smiled instead. His teeth were gritted so hard that he could have sworn they were about to crack under pressure. ©
“Where am I?” he said softly, his eyes locking with one of the little boys’ and shifting gaze until they met with each and every one of them. Henry’s eyes were squinted slightly, considering he was looking almost directly into the sunlight. The tall man’s slim silhouette was all that could be made out from the light, but it mattered little. Henry talked directly into the sun. He was dazed, but was regaining stamina quickly. ©
The short people in front of him had their hats off, and still remained excited to see him. A few had stepped forward and began bowing, making sure to greet him with many warm smiles. Some of them even tended to his elbow. Henry wasn’t quite sure what was happening, but he’d be a fool not to enjoy it at least a little. (d)
The question goes unanswered; Can you handle the drama?
