ABOUT YOU:
Name: Courtney;;Court;;durr.
Age: 15 on Saturday. Wee!
How long have you been role-playing: Hmm. 2-3 years.
How you heard about us: Neo.
How active you plan to be: You know me.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:
Full Name: Spencer Alyn Carlin
Age: seventeen
Gender: Female
Race: White
Appearance:
Gracious, elegant, innocent.
These three words just may be the three that pop into your head with a mere glance of Spencer Carlin.
And maybe, just maybe, the three words can conclude Spencer’s very personality. Yes, she had the face to fit one of a young girl, innocent being the key word to fulfill the determination that the teen holds within her hands. Her smile and complexions give off a gracious and unique vibe. The elegance is one in the same, appreciating and completing Spencer to the fullest. She is beautiful in her own way, but, aren’t we all?
For the real ‘physical’ features, Spencer has the tomboy act down. She doesn’t dress all fancy-shmancy. In fact, Spencer really can care less about the way she steps out of the house. Un-like most of the girls in California, Spencer isn’t ‘miss model’ nor is she some skinny toothpick.
In all, she is content with her appearance, not feeling as if she needs to prove herself to anyone.
Standing at a full height of 5’8, Spencer inherits most of her genes from her father. Yes, her father. Her father had the same, dark colored hair as Spencer, though she has dyed it a time or two before. Her eyes give off a light brown hue, doing the job as to get her around and knowing where, exactly, she was heading. Her body frame may attract some words along the lines of ‘Oh, I work out. Yeah.’ But in truth, Spencer doesn’t hit the gym or get into the big machines, no. To keep her body in a good, healthy shape, Spencer runs and eats, well, healthy.
Though she doesn’t run every single day, the occasional, once a week jog seems to do it.
The strong, athletic build accompanies her lightly tanned skin. Beautiful, really.
Celebrity That They Look Like: Kate Beckinsale
Personality:
Independent.
Looking past the beauty of miss Carlin, you find yourself swimming within her inner soul. Her wants and goals become clear to you and you find out just what this girl is really made of. Yes, welcome to heaven. Well, not really, but you do find that this female can be quite the angel.
She uses only her best judgment to, well, judge others, though she knows that judging someone too early isn’t such a great idea. She believes everyone has a good side to him or her, and she knows, for a fact, that she does too. This sweet side is often showing. Spencer shows great manors to others and is known to be the ‘nice’ girl.
Indecency seems to have taken over a large portion of Spencer’s life. She had always been the type of girl who didn’t agree with much of what people told her, causing the young child to become somewhat of the ‘loner’ and telling herself that relying on others isn’t quite worth it.
Her phrase, or quote for herself is: “If you want something done right you better do it yourself.”
Cliché, no? Either way, that is what it comes down to, and Spencer is not one to keep the emotions bottled up. No.
She believes, at this point in her life, that she is just trying to find those people that she can trust. Like, finding your ‘true friends’ back in middle school or high school.
Flaws:
I think we should start with her greatest fear, rejection.
For many years, Spencer has been set in the spotlight numerous times only to experience dreaded words. She has come face to face with this fear countless times, and yes, to this day, Spencer hates the thought of being rejected or forgotten. This fear, or flaw, started the first time that her brother, Jimmy Carlin, had been kicked out of the house. Of course, Spencer shared tears with her angry parents and from that day on she would always remind herself of the hate that had been sent towards her brother. Though she has not yet been kicked out of the house, she had been rejected from other beings, which has prevented her from doing many different things with her life.
Oh, the physical flaw. Yes, Spencer Carlin cannot stand the color of her eyes. Hmm, enough said. The color brown, dealing with eye hue, is much too common and makes Spencer feel, well, un-original. No, this wouldn’t maker her wear those silly contacts that come in various colors, but there had always been a want to change that something, though she wouldn’t...ever.
History:
In the past, there have been crucial mistakes made by the Carlin children, Jimmy in particular.
He had always been the one who was up to no good, but always seemed to have a plan to get out of the mess that he starts.
Being a year younger than Jimmy, Spencer has learned to ‘look-up’ to her brother, if you will.
She would take a long by Jimmy’s side much of the time, though she has never really gotten herself into too much trouble.
Mother, Charlotte, and father Rick both work for fortunate companies, bringing home a decency of cash weekly and providing a beautiful living environment for their kids. Charlotte had been pregnant with Jimmy when she was only eighteen years old, making the birth of her first child an ‘un-planned’ event. Rick had been the father and had asked for Charlotte’s hand in marriage when the pregnancy had become public. Though Rick felt pressure that he /had/ to marry Charlotte and take in this baby and care for it as much as she had to, he loves his wife dearly and they soon after had Spencer. The family is close, loving each other’s company, but, like most families, they are far from perfect.
Rick had been fired form his job back when Spencer had been only fifteen and when Charlotte had decided to become a stay at home mom. The family suffered badly, causing big talk around the OC. Finally, what seemed like a miracle, Rick had been offered a job that paid more than he used to make and Charlotte had found a job for herself, pulling the family way up and making them the talk of the OC once again.
Un-like much of the mother’s in California’s very own orange county, Charlotte tends to keep more to herself while the other parents act like children and gossip about one another. In all, the family is pretty much a self-conscious type of group, keeping to themselves for the most part.
Spencer and Jimmy still get out there and act as normal, teen residents of the town, but as mentioned before, Spencer isn’t miss bitchy know it all and she only feels that gossiping is the seventh sin.
Living Situation:
The Carlin family resides to a lovely estate in the middle of the OC.
Spencer still lives with her parents, as does Jimmy, though Rick and Charlotte continue to fill Jimmy’s head with ideas of moving out. They believe Spencer is still too young to do so, but they know she will be ready by the time she turns eighteen.
Role-playing Sample:
Teenagers.
The perfect example of a well brought up being.
Not.
Lets stick more along the lines of it being the complete opposite.
Teenagers were selfish, out of control human beings, only waiting to prey on the next adult who steps into their ‘dreadful lives’.
Life was tragic. Feelings were smashed and stepped on; seen as nothing. Troubles over-turned lives that once used to be grand. Why was growing up so difficult?
Hmm, a resource perhaps? A teenager herself? One who supposively has the worst life of all? Oh yeah, we are, in fact, talking about the one and only Cami Ferseth.
Standing at an awful height of 5’6 and weighing in at an absurd weight of 134 pounds, I give you the worst of all teenagers, Cami Ferseth. Living the worst life anyone could ever ask for, the teen furiously stands amongst a mirror; disgusted with the reflection it gives back. A disgrace to all humans, and more, to her own family. Now, could this all be possible? Sure, but it wasn’t. Well, to Cami herself it may have been, but to anyone else? Not many. Cami was beautiful, in her own way.
She was of average height and weight. Her hair was like many other girls’ who attended her high school. To many other people, Cami was just another teenaged girl.
Stepping from a large bed frame and letting her bare feet tap at the carpeted floor beneath her, was, indeed, the lady of the hour.
She stood to her full height, still rubbing sleep from her eyes, and gracefully, yet slumping, made her way to the bathroom just down the hall. Her feet patted the tiled flooring as she entered the bathroom, flicking on the light switch and revealing a toilet and a countered sink. The bathroom wasn’t much, but that didn’t matter too much, did it?
Staring at a mere reflection of herself, the young girl, sixteen to be exact, absent-mindedly turned on the faucet before her.
As the water poured from the sinks nozzle, a soft, pale hand had reached beneath it, letting the liquid content spill of her hand as to wake her up from the piercing shock of the cool temperature. A slight movement was made to show that the freezing water did have an effect, but nothing drastic.
She then cupped her two hands together, forming some sort of bowl and watched as the water filled it quickly. Lowering her head, Cami slapped the water onto her face, relieving herself from the sleepy stage that had over-some her just moments ago.
Quickly making her way back to her bedroom, a scouting of the closest was made to order as she searched for a decent outfit to wear.
With a flick of her wrist, shirts were moved out of her way as well as the many pairs of jeans in front of her. She came to a finale decision-- a pair of faded blue jeans and a Hollister shirt that sported the logo on her chest. Making a short walk to the edge of her bed, she slipped on a pair of flip-flops. Yeah, this was normal attire.
Hmm, back to the bathroom, shall we? Doing so, the young lady had fond herself before the mirror once again, examining her hazel-hued eyes and debating on whether she should add some make-up to her face. Deciding against it, as she was too lazy to do so, Cami walked herself down the stairs of her two-storied home and grabbed her backpack on the way out. She'd come upon her school shortly, seeing as her parents had wanted to be close to the school of their child. Yes, she walked to school, hating it, but could do nothing about it, really.
Arriving some five minutes later, she stepped onto the paved campus, examining the many bodies that walked amongst her. She put on a ‘fake smile’, trying her best to brighten her day for her own sakes. Nah, she wasn’t the ‘loner’ or the ‘scene/emo’ kid, in all, she didn’t label herself really, nor did she try to label anyone else. She had friends and didn’t /hate/ life, but who really did, to an extreme, /love/ it? Hmm, pathetic.
