Dream smiled. "Thanks." she said at Rachel's compliment. Looking over Rachel's shoulder she noticed Lauren headed this way. She knew that the girls probably had to talk so she smiled at Rachel and gave her one last small hug and walked away.
Looking at everyone she smiled. Everyone seemed so happy, it was adorable. If only The O.C could be like this everyday, but Dream knew it as much as everyone else that it would never happen.
Walking over to an empty table she flopped down onto the chair and watched everyone. Her and Danny weren't a couple so it wasn't like they had to dance together. If he wanted to dance with someone else, then he could, but she wasn't going to go ask him to dance with her even though it would be nice.

Channel looked around the dance floor, but didn't see Ryan. She almost started to cry because he didn't come. He ruined her day. Channel saw Dream and went over to her and tapped her shoulder. "Some one looks beautiful." She then pulled up a chair and sat with her.

Dream turned around once she felt someone tap her shoulder from behind. She watched Channel sit down next to her. "Yeah I know, you." Dream said to Channel's statement smiling. "Whats going on with you? You should be dancing. Your the best party animal." Dream said smiling taking a sip of water from the glass on the table.

Channel laughed and said "Good, your drinking water." She sighed and said "The punch is spiked just to tell you." her Bruis's from her Dad beating her were well covered with make-up. She sighed and said "I think I'm going to break up with Ryan."

Rachel looked up and there was Lauren, distraught and so terribly Cooper. Drama queen--but she loved it. She hugged Dream back, as was customary, and her respect only grew toward her for leaving them alone and not trying to eavesdrop and grab the gossip up for herself. It was amazing that anyone could be that nice...
Not to mention the fact that Lauren was. It killed Rachel to think that she could have made Lauren so upset that she would actually cry--Miss Cooper didn't cry, unless it was for show or if she wanted something. Rachel had known her long enough that she realized this. Neither of them were huge tearjerkers. They just broke hearts.
"Lauren?" She said softly before her possibly-still-best-friend put her arms out and around her. "It's okay." Rachel pulled her favorite blonde in the whole world toward her, hugging her tight. "Can we just, like, forget this?" They needed to.

"Well, Drek, you look quite...well, I'm not sure of the right word. Mature, maybe. Yeah. You look pretty mature. And Devin, you just look awesome. You know. Out-there in the good sort of way," Zanna said, shifting her weight to the other leg. "Yeah. Cute Is What We Aim for. Good. I mean. It would be good if they played that. I sort of doubt that they will...but we can wish."

"Exciting. I guess that's one way to describe it," Tyler commented, small smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "I didn't like it much. I don't really like it when people pay a lot of attention to me. Most of their attention was on you...but still," he said, shrugging a little bit. "Wasn't that your cousin--or something--that sort of...saved Rachel from humiliation?" he asked, honestly curious. He found it sort of funny--the Queen Bee of the O.C. was the one person to not have an escort. And if not funny, then at least ironic.

Asha sighed, already thoroughly bored with the entire event. No one was talking to her. No one had even acknowledged her existence. What kind of party was this? If you would even go so far as to call it a party at all. Personally, Asha would simply call it what she had; an event. A social event.
So. She couldn't spend the whole night alone--she'd never done that, and she wasn't starting now. But what could she do? Perhaps talk with the guy that had waltzed with Rachel--the one she'd never seen before. He looked...interesting. He looked...well, attractive, basically. But was he still here?

"I could always sing for you guys."Devin said nodding. He had brought his Ipod for the car ride over and back if he got bored or something. "Newport Living is a good song, but I like anysong by them."He said laughing. Drek nodded "Thank you, you look pretty."Drek added to his nodding. Devin snorted "Pretty? Like times that by ten and plus awesome and you got your answer!"He said smiling. "Thanks Zanna, but its what we agreed we needed color."Devin added smiling

Lauren wiped a tear from under eye. Whatthe fuck, she didn't care if her makeup got screwed up. She grinned as Rachel's firm hug surrounded her. She almost laughed out loyd at all of this silliness. Lauren and Rachel did not fight. They were like, the most powerfuul duo in the world. Yeah they so beat Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
"Yeah we can definitely get over this, it was so stupid." Tears started spilling out of her now well blackened eyes. Her mascara was smeared across her face and eyeliner was smudged everywhere. Lauren laughed out loud. It was the best she had felt in days. like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She embraced her Best friend again and smiled throught her tears.
Now hopefully things would go back to normal in the O.C. No one could ever interfere with their friendship, it just ruins everything.

"Um, try completely childish. Why do we even fight like that? It screws everything up. And Matt didn't even show." Rachel backed away and looked at Lauren. Ugh, she was still gorgeous even though her eyeliner was smearing under her eyes, which were dangerously red and puffy. "C'mon. Honey, you completely need a drink." She laughed and wiped at the tough black designer-makeuped rings around Lauren's eyes.
She grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward the mahogany bar in the corner. "Two glasses of Veuve Cliquot, please." Her smile was sweet tinged with mischief. Champagne would cap the night off perfectly--and maybe she'd be able to forget about Jimmy entirely. Sure.

"Yeah." Noelle said then nodding her head 'yes' in reply to Tyler. "That was my cousin." she replied and then she noticed that Lauren and Rachel had just hugged. That's seriously what she had been waiting for...talking to the both of them at different times felt awkward. "I wanna go say hey to Lauren and Rachel..come?" she asked him then. He could if he wanted to, if not...whatever.

A drink was now attached to Louis's hand as he stood there looking around a bit. His Aunt and Uncle would kill him if they knew he was drinking, oh well...their worst couldn't be all that bad...right? Well that's what he figured. Taking another sip of the his Jack Daniels. Hum. He debated on actually going to go talk to someone. His hand moved as he twirled around the liquid a little bit and then took another gulp and his gaze continued to shift around a bit. What to do now...

It was kind of like the world was coming to in her eyes. She was wearing a gorgeous dress and being told by the current guy of her dreams that he didn't have a girlfriend. She should have been entirely pleased, but it bugged her that he was giving her everything she wanted. Maybe she liked a challenge and she just didn't know it?
And then she looked into his eyes. God, they were so fucking blue, it was like Taylor got completely hypontized every time she looked into them. That shouldn't happen--she knew she was falling too hard, but the moment was picture perfect as he twirled her around. Except for the annoying fact that a piece of blonde hair kind of went flying in her eye. Whatever.
"But--you asked her to cotillion. I thought you guys were going out." Taylor tilted her head to the side. Wouldn't it be amazing if he just leaned in and kissed her...? Yeah, like that was going to happen. This was Nick Aaron Stone they were talking about, Orange County player second only to her cousin. Falling head-over-heels for him and getting knee-deep in daydreams was dangerous.

Walking slowly over to the boy whom she'd just been thinking, Asha let her glass settle upon some random table. He was very attractive. Of course, the major test would be if he was nice and...all that stuff, but looks really helped a lot. Especially in the O.C., and especially with this lovely young woman.
"Hello," she greeted simply, small smile coating her lips as she spoke the apparently foreign male. "Who, if I may ask, are you?" she asked, standing straight and tall. With the extra inches from her heels tonight, she was approximately 5'9" tall. Pretty tall, in comparison to a lot of people.
Waiting for an answer, Asha let her hands fall flat to her sides, and it took a little bit to stop herself from fidgeting. Fidgeting just wasn't attractive--she knew this from prior experience, both in her case and in someone else's.
