Spencer laughed along with Lauren, nodding towards her to signify that she knew what she meant. Upon Lauren holding out her hand, Spencer followed her movements and examined the open palm before her. With a wide grin, Spencer looked back towards Alexa for the last time then back at the hand that awaited her own. Without waiting another mere second, she lifted her hand to have it settled in Lauren’s and stood from her chair. “You may.” She replied with another laugh and slowly walked back to the dance floor, pulling Lauren beside her, a wide grin planted upon her face. Maybe this would be a good start, for a new friendship.

Rachel bit her lip, glancing at Lauren, for some odd reason. Why the fuck was she making that face when her BEST FRIEND was standing alone in the middle of the dance floor, getting ready to do a simple demonstration of the steps--without a partner? Lauren was jealous. It was clear. Rachel glanced at E.V, noting her distraught air with sympathy--she gestured toward the door, and someone else entered...

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Jeremy Schellenberg had arrived, and yadda yadda yadda. What the fuck. He had woken up late, remembered Rachel telling him that this thing at the Montez was today. There were obviously going to be some girls there, maybe Channel, E.V... the girls he had met so far. Knowing his mom, Rachel would be pissed off and demonstrating, Lauren would be making faces, and there would be a million girls with no idea what to do. Great. He threw on some nicer clothes--clean, dark jeans, newly bought from Diesel, a white ab-hugging tee shirt, and a half-buttoned baby blue Armani button-up. His hair had grown a little longer and was messy, but he was freshly shaven and smelled like leather and Drakkar Noir. Yum. He walked in, noticing his sister gesturing towards him. There was Lauren, and Noelle, and Spencer, and E.V. without a guy, Channel, Nick, Jimmy... everyone. Jeremy semi-narrowed his eyes at the look of his sister's ex-best-friend. Rachel hadn't really told him much of anything, but through the gossip train he had gotten the gist, and it seemed on Lauren's fault platter. Plus, it was only natural that Jeremy feel protective of his little sister. Another glance around told him that E.V. was without a partner. What the hell, why not be the white knight and save her fucking day? She was pretty and he had known her for a long, long time. He walked over slowly. "So, Cole didn't show? Dancing with me wouldn't be so bad, would it?" He said with a smile that was part-sweet, part-mischevious. Getting rejected by Noelle for cotillion had kind of been a hit to his pride, and he might be showing a little vulnerability because if she rejected him, he'd look like a total dick.

Pulling her eyes from Rachel, E watched who had just walked through the door. It was…Jason…no…Jimmy? Wait! Jeremy. She had met him once. Jeremy Schellenberg. Perfect. Dropping her bag on the table, and looked at him with a look that begged for attention
“Save my ass, and I’ll lovee you forever” Elizabeth stated, and held at her hand. He was related to Rachel, hopefully, he would have some of the same skill as she did. Please dear lord, oh please.
‘Shit.’ Was the thought that ran through her head. She couldn’t dance with like, the hottest guy there, and have a boyfriend. She would she surely regert it latter….but she just had no choice..

"Babe, I'd save your ass anytime." He said, pretending to look appreciatively at it. Jeremy was a semi-good-guy at heart, so he was only semi-checking-her-out. Well, maybe a little more than semi, but that was okay. He ran a hand through his hair and led E.V. to the dance floor, waiting for his mum to speak and for the lesson to start. "I guess you've done this before?" He asked his partner.

Jimmy’s eyes drooped for a second before opening once again after Spencer had walked with Lauren to the dance floor. Shit. His sister had gotten a dance partner before him? What the fuck was that about? Jimmy’s gaze lifted and settled upon that of Jeremy as he made himself the fourth male to show up. Straightening himself in his chair, he looked back at Rachel. Nope, no feelings; she was with someone else now anyways, or so he heard. Shaking his head back and forth briefly he continued to stare at Rachel, though it quickly turned into a blank stare more than anything. Finally, after a moment or so, Jimmy stood from the chair, pulling his hands from his pockets and walked slowly towards Rachel.
Making his presence in front of her, he held out one hand, palm up, and let the other make its way to the back of his neck, which he rubbed nervously. Why was he so nervous? The past was in the past, the two had both moved on...right? “May I have this dance?” he finally voiced, his expression dull and his tone dry. He acted as if this was a big deal, asking Rachel to dance, that is. But really, it kind of was. For him anyways...

Motherfucker. Of all the days to get pulled over by the cops for looking like a suspected criminal. For Christ's fucking sakes he was actually wearing nice threads for once -- black slacks and a powder blue button down the front shirt. His undershirt peeked out over the top, and his usual ocean breeze/woodsy scent clung to his attire. That wasn't the only look he was wearing though. Nope. Pure annoyance and strains of anger were present on his features. His clear grey eyes were darkened and sparking, but he managed to cool himself somewhat as he stepped through the doors of the room where the dancing lessons were taking place.
His shirt ends hung over his belt, and his hands were jammed into his pockets. He'd actually planned on being early, for Spencer's sake, but now he'd probably be reprimanded for showing up God knew how many minutes late. He could frankly give a fuck though. At least he made it.
Clearing his throat, Ryder took a deep breath to calm himself, and was just about to start over towards Spencer when Amberlynn appeared next to him. Alright. So he wasn't the only later one. "Get pulled over by the cops too?" he asked dryly and with a wry look.
"Ha...fucking ha," Amber disgustedly muttered, wishing it had been that. Nope. She'd been away for the last couple of days and her plane had come in late. She wasn't in the best of moods if one was to be truthful, and by the looks of things, Ryder wasn't either. "Whatchu mean?" she asked him, furrowing her brows. Why'd the cops pull him over? Had he been speeding?
Setting her bag down by a wall, she adjusted her black jacket and then crossed her arms. Her face was void of make-up, but she didn't need that to look good -- unlike most girls in the O.C. seemed to. A pair of pinstriped white and black slacks clung to her lower body, and her open-toed heels tapped lightly against the floor. Although she wasn't the most reliable of persons, it still sucked to have to face the embarassment of being late. Not that she'd show it. Instead, she had her body straight and her head held high, awaiting any punishment she might receive for it. In fact, if she was reprimanded, she might just leave. Not like there was any reason for her to be at the lessons. Hell, she didn't have a date for Cotillion. But then again, going stag wasn't such a bad idea.

Channel looked at Dream and said "Well since my brother is asleep in the corner over there...I guess I am going to dance with you." She than laughed and said "That is if you want me too." Channel saw Jeremy and just smiled at him. ooc: It's short..sue me.

Wrapping her arms around Jeremy, there was one though that played throughout her head like a broken record. ‘Your going to hell…you bitch’ She was only semi checking him out And Only Semi wishing she could just pull of these damn shoes And ONLY semis wished the Cole didn’t exist and that she could kiss him and feel no remorse. But Of Course, That wasn’t the case. Damnit.
“So, I havn’t seen you around, What’s been up?” She asked, trying to stay as random as possible. Damn you, Cole.

Having quite a good excuse for being late, Colby casually walked through the doors to find Amber and Ryder standing near it. He raised a brow, about to talk to them but then thought better of it upon seeing the looks on their faces. Both of them looked about ready to gut a person. Therefore, he decided to look for his girl, knowing he'd have a bit of apologizing to do -- which probably would include some expensive request on her part.
Grey-blue eyes settling upon Elizabeth and some guy, he slightly arched one brow but his face immediately got straight again. Leaning against a wall, he crossed his arms over his chest and scanned the room, glancing at the girls who also lacked partners. Hmmm. An unreadable look was present upon his face as he switched his gaze back to Elizabeth again, wondering if he even should go over and cut in, but decided against it. Not because he was intimidated by her partner, but more since he didn't feel like it. She probably was trying to save face by dancing with him. Couldn't she had at least waited for him? He did in fact say he would show, and if he wasn't going to, he would have called. Hmph.
Dressed quite similar to his brother, only that his own shirt was red instead of blue, he uncrossed one arm and brushed off his slacks before finally speaking to his present family members. "So...how comes you guys aren't on the floor?" he asked while looking at them, also hoping he didn't get his head bitten off for it.

So, more people were arriving huh? Spencer hinted this after hearing the door close a couple of times. Her back was facing the closed door, and whatever else that had been behind her. Something inside of her hoped that it had been Ryder who had finally decided to show up, but another part of her said ‘don’t turn around, you’ll only be disappointed.’ Finally after gathering the hope together, Spencer turned her head, looking over her shoulder at the three bodily presences that stood near the door. The layered brown hair fell over her shoulder as she craned her neck, her eyes falling on Amberlynn, Cole, and yes, Ryder. A wide grin formed on her face, but she didn’t move. Instead she merely watched Ryder, his brother, and Amberlynn; seemingly throw some type of fit.
Ryder, just like everyone else, seemed to just not be in the mood to be here, same with his cousin. Cole just seemed lazier than anything. Turning her head back towards Lauren, Spencer peered over the other girls shoulder and caught sight of little miss Elizabeth. Ah, so she was with someone else at the moment. That explained why Cole wasn’t with her. Wow, talk about drama. Spencer shrugged to herself and then looked back at the group. Yeah, Ryder was definitely upset, but Spencer decided to stay put. After all, it would be rude to leave Lauren just because someone else had shown up. Though her case seemed very similar to Elizabeth’s, it was different, very different. Spencer wasn’t dancing with another guy, she was dancing with a /friend/. Difference? I’d say so.

Jeremy bit his lip, looking down at E.V. He could sense a bit of chemistry, even though he hadn't spoken to her in a while. Jeremy pulled her a little closer, just because that was what one 'did.' The waltz was supposed to be romantic, and Jeremy led E.V. three steps over the required way, still looking down at her. When he glanced toward the door, though, he saw a guy looking their way. Shit, the boyfriend? Whatever, fuck it... Jeremy thought. It wasn't like he was screwing Elizabeth in a broom closet. They were dancing. That was all. Right?

Rachel watched Jimmy aproach her through glazed eyes, almost as if she were watching herself from above, just because she rarely--erm--stood alone in the middle of a dance floor. It was almost like... Rachel was noticing just how hot Jimmy was for the first time since that kiss in first grade. Sure, she didn't really feel anything, but she was appreciative that she had one of the hottest--any only--guys in the room. Faintly appreciative, because she knew she'd get a guy in the end. As he came closer, he looked at him and gave a little, remorseful, bitter laugh, and then directed a smile off into the distance. It was a classic Old-Hollywood-or-Rachel move. "Yeah. You definitely can.." Her voice faded as she stepped closer, putting her hand on his shoulder and the other in his. Was this feeling more than just friendship? If so, she wouldn't really allow herself to feel it. She was just so mixed up with guys right now...

As Rachel’s compelled laughter rang through his ears, Jimmy’s face twisted a little, not finding anything remotely funny. Still his hand clutched hers lightly, while his other made its way around her waist, pulling her closer. If he messed up, he wouldn’t out the blame on himself. He didn’t know how to dance, let alone dance the ‘waltz’. As Jimmy’s own hand comfortably fit with Rachel’s, he finally felt the same feeling she had and laughed softly. He looked away instantly, finding the moment to be a bit awkward. But he didn’t want it to be awkward. When had he and Rachel ever hung out...just as friends? He couldn’t remember. The had definitely gone through a lot, but I guess one day all of that just vanished.
Jimmy turned his attentions back onto Rachel. He studied her face for a moment, taking in her beauty. Why he had gotten lucky and was first to pounce on her that day, he did not know, but he hoped that he wouldn’t get sucked back into her life, feeling those feelings he had long ago. When apart from Rachel he felt nothing, as if he had never met her before. But now, her in his arms, all of the memories came back. Shit. The day wasn’t going to end well. He could feel it.

Nick looked around and sighed. His head was throbbing but he needed to practice. /Are there any girls left?/ he thought to himself. He than pulled him self up while grumbling about something and walked over to Amber and causally said "Can I have this dance?" He was going to ask every single girl until he found one. He was so hungover he didn't care that he may strike out. I mean come on who said he has to like the girl. Well, Amber was pretty cute but than there was Rachel's cousin who was pretty good looking and a sweet heart at that. ooc: What girls don't have a dance partner? I only know of Dream and Channel. xD I am so confused.
