Dream laughed and pushed her bangs from out of her eyes. Looking at Channel she smiled and took her hand.
"Of course i'll dance with you!" She said laughing and started to walk Channel out on the dance floor with a smile across her face. Today might actually be fun. ooc:short.gross

Rachel took a breath, trying not to realize that her heart rate was going double speed. She looked around, taking everything in that had been there and taken for granted her whole life--her friends, her mother... and Jimmy? Did he fit in that picture at all? Would he fit in her picture? Why was she even wondering all that? She needed answers!
Yeah, okay. She had taken Jimmy for granted. They had always hung out, trying to pretend that they were just best friends and that nothing ever really happened. It seemed fit to erase all of those memories, just so that they could move on and feel no spite, or guilt. God forbid they should start everything over again--the concept of forever was just so far off. And why was Rachel wondering about forever?
"Have your ever waltzed before?" She asked.

Taylor bit her lip. Today was so not what she had cracked it up to be. Apparently Danny was in jail, and that really wasn't helping her cause. She fought back the urge to cry, and the cashmere-textured lump in her throat. Instead, she ran a finger along the slight v-neck on her crisp white linen Marc Jacobs dress, fresh from the Jacobs Resort line.
She looked around, noticing Rachel and Jimmy dancing--a given. Nick was looking at all the girls, Jeremy was dancing with E.V., Colby and Ryder were looking surly... Taylor was the only one without a cause.

Post by Jimmy Carlin on Sept 24, 2006 12:08:59 GMT -5
The sudden rush of anxiety flushed him fully. His face went straight again and his grip around Rachel’s waist tightened, without realizing it. Oh yes, he was nervous. His palms were now sweating and his view was turned away from her face. He dared not look straight into her eyes. He felt uncomfortable, yet so fitting with the two of them at the very moment. Jimmy glanced up at Alexa, his straight face was still intact and he seemed to almost give her a deathly stare. Jimmy bit down hard; his jaw clenching tight, and then relaxed it again.
“No, I have never waltz before.” He stated, turning his gaze to the polished floor some five feet away from the two. His voice had remained dry, almost a tint of annoyance sounded along with it, but Jimmy couldn’t help it. He didn’t want to start rambling or flirting with her. He knew that if he did, some urge would come over him, some want would take over his body. Yes, the want. Rachel. Though he had tried his best to cover it up, Jimmy was sure that all of his feelings were pouring from his eyes, his look, everything. He wasn’t sure if he could take it, but he needed to know. What he needed was...answers.

Casting an amused glance at Ryder because of his terrible misfortune, Amber couldn't help but chuckle. Alright, so it wasn't so funny, but she was on a thin line of sanity as it was. That's what happened when a person had everything going wrong in the past few days. Gently, she smacked him on the shoulder. "Come on cuz. In the next twenty years or so, we're going to sit back and laugh about this. We all know you'd never hurt a fly...Well, unless said fly hurt your family," she smiled gently at him before winking. Sliding her glance over to Cole, she blinked. "Because we just arrived as well," she informed with a sigh. "Your brother got pulled over by the cops, and then I was late getting in on my flight."
Shrugging, she looked up when she heard someone talk to her. It was that guy, Nick, the one she'd met on the beach with Channel. They'd only exchanged names so she didn't really know much about him to be truthful. "Sure...though I don't know crap about the waltz," she smirked, while also wondering how long the dancing lessons would last. Surely she wouldn't have to be moving on her feet the entire day. Lauren grinned at Spencer and gave her a knowing look and flicked her hand over in Ryder's direction. " Ok, ok you can go, go have fun with your hot hot boyfriend." She giggled and playfully shoved Spencer towards Ryder. Spencer seemed nice and funny, she could definitely become a good friend. More boys have obviously decided to show up ' fashionably late '. Her choices weren't much though. Sure they were cute, but they all were already with somebody. Jeremy, Rachel's older brother had also shown up, but he was dancing with E.V....hmmm isn't E.V with Cole....
O.O.C--Ew short

Fuck me, Sweet Jesus, Mary, and The Cable Guy” Elizabeth said as it was her signature panic sentence, though at the time she didn’t realize it. The one thing she did realize was that a) Her boyfriend had just shown up, how nice of him…and b) she was dancing with one of the hottest guys in the OC, who could dance, and was a Schellenberg. A motherfucking Schellenberg, her tickets to being like the princess of the OC. “I have to…um…I’m sorry…” Elizabeth said, breaking away from Jeremy. Damnit. Mortal social sins commited tonight: 1. She made her way to Cole, not really meaning to just leave Jeremy…but it was her boyfriend.
“I’m bagging you to, right now, ask me to dance.” Elizabeth said, enclosing in on the now 7 foot gap between Cole and herself.

Rachel laughed, but it sounded more nervous that she had hoped. She took a deep breath, trying to retain some sense of the person that she knew she had to be. The expression on Jimmy's face stirred up something she had hoped to bury away forever, even though it had occured recently--Danny. She didn't want another guy falling hard and fast for her! Didn't Jimmy have enough sense to stem those feelings? Did anyone?
She looked up at him--he was taller than her--searching for a sign, for something, for anything. All she saw was a road mao that could only lead to a broken heart. Rachel reminded herself that they were just dancing, by taking a deep breath and looking around the room. "So. Yeah. I'll teach you--three steps to your right."

Channel laughed and started to mess around on the dance floor and do all sorts of silly moved with Dream. Most of the time they just ended up bumping into people. Channel was laughing Hysterically the whole time. "This is sooo fun" she remarked. She didn't care that all eyes were on her because that's what she wanted.

ooc; I am posting as Jeremy, so yeah. Deal with it, bitchesss. "It's okay." He shrugged it off, realizing that her boyfriend had entered. He knew how that was--the blond dude was her obligation. Had she wanted him? Yeah, he thought so--it sure seemed like it. "Nice dancing with you." He mimed a bow, laughing in that classic, bitter way of his. It seemed the Schellenbergs liked to laugh at things that really weren't funny--it was their way of showing emotion.
Jeremy glanced around the room, watching E.V. walk over to Cole and basically ask him to dance. He shook his head a little--maybe making her boyfriend jealous would be good for stuff with them, and acting desperate like she had just done really wasn't going to achieve the provacative thing she seemed to be going for. Jeremy surveyed his options, like a kid at a candy store. Channel. Dream. Lauren. Taylor. Noelle. Spencer... nah, she had a boyfriend. Angelina. Who the hell knew?

Grinning at Nick, Amber nodded. "Hey, I don't mind...maybe Imma be stepping on yours too," she chuckled, placing one hand on his shoulder and then the next in his other hand. Taking a cursory look around to survey those present, she mimicked the dance steps, starting to move with Nick. "So, hangover huhn? I'd be sleeping right about now if it was me," she murmured with a gentle smile, leading them away from Ryder and Cole.
Okay, the damn waltz. Couldn't it have been something with a more techno beat. Not technically rump-shaking, but at least a bit more alive. This was stupid. Who wanted to be a fucking debutante anyway?
Raising one brow at his brother, Cole shrugged. At least he wasn't in prison, and so that was a good thing. Otherwise, Colby would have had yet another reason to be late...or possibly not showing up at all. Glancing towards Elizabeth who was making her way towards him, a small smirk slid into place upon his face. He should ask her to dance? Excuse her? If he wasn't mistaken, she had a partner just a few minutes ago, and he would be stupid if he didn't realize a bit of...attraction on her part to the other. Oh well. She was just his for a while right? Until she got totally tired of him. Yup. Typical Orange County bitch.
Leaning from off the wall, he decided against brushing her off and casually made his way over to where she was. "Would you like to dance?" he asked simply, putting his hand out to her. He would be...nice. She was his girlfriend after all. Well, for now at least.

“So, you’ve been where?” Elizabeth asked, and she got in sync to the music and everyone else on the floor. God he was an ass. Hello, time? That was something that Adrienne would pull. Shit. Speak of the devil….
Yea, Adrienne had just walked in. Late, and all too hot looking for her own good. She was stating to make Elizabeth look bad, and that was just plan bad. Her hair was straighten and pulled into a high messy bun. She looked like…well…like she had just stepped off a flight from NY and was still in her Plane clothing. She was wearing the exact same skirt as Elizabeth, only was feeling it out many betters. The rest was she own. On her legs were 5 in stelltio heeled, knee high boots, point toe, and obviously from somewhere like Spin where you had to pay like a multi trillion dollars for them. On her upped half was a black blazer, and a light, light pink cami. That, too, was Elizabeth, and that too she filled out, a lot nicer. Damn her. Stepping through the door and spotted Jeremy, and giving him a come-hither glance, before leaning aginst the wall.

Nick sighed and said "I only can wish I was..my mom forced me to get up and come." He looked toward his sister making a fool of herself just for attention he laughed a little and said "The attention whore left without me so I got to take my dad's Furry." he shook his surfer boy hair out of his face and said "This is so dumb."

Raising a brow, Colby gave Elizabeth a look. Once again, excuse her? The least she could have done was greet him more properly. First, she sort of demanded him to ask her to dance, then she questioned his whereabouts. Weren't they a couple? Wasn't she to at least say 'Hello, how've you been?' before the question about where he was came up? Fuck, she was a bitch.
"At home on the phone with my father," he replied simply. "Family business. Sorry I'm late, but I got here as soon as I could." With that, he executed the waltz steps perfectly. He might not like the dance, but he had the right upbringing. "Anything else?" he asked through hooded eyes, moving his gaze away from hers and to the other attendees of the dance lessons.
"Ohhh," Amber murmured in understanding, briefly looking towards his sister as well before giving Nick her attention as well. She chuckled. "Tell me about it. Though you're not the one who has to don a fugly white dress and be showcased to the world. I have the right mind to show up in purple and see what they say," she grinned mischievously.
"So, who you taking?" she asked him out of curiousity more than anything else.
